Our walking tour of this section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path follows 65 miles of this clearly way-marked long-distance hiking trail. You will see some of Wales' most charming coastal landscape, wildlife, stunning scenery and history. Hiking along Wales' Pembrokeshire Coast, one of UK's most popular coastal long distance walking trails, this walking holiday passes through the famous Welsh coastal city of St Davids, and you see St David's Cathedral and many Neolithic burial sites.

Day 1: Arrive at Herbrandston
For walking this section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path you arrive at Herbrandston.

Dale on Walking holiday on Pembrokeshire Coast Path Day 2: Herbrandston to Marloes                6 or 12 miles depending on tide
At low tide you can take the stepping stones across Sandyhaven Pill, otherwise you take the 4 miles walk around the inlet. The path regains the coast around Great Castle Head and Watch House Point to Musselwick, where at low tide you take the boardwalk and stepping stones across the River Gann. Otherwise another 2.5 mile inland diversion takes you to around the River Gann to Marloes for your overnight stop..
Day 3:  St Ann's Head and Haven Point, staying Marloes            15 miles
Today you are walking a circular route on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path around the Dale Peninsula, past St Ann's Head and then around Haven Point. As you head towards Marloes Sands, the islands of Skokholm and Skomer can be seen. You walk around Marloes Peninsula via Martin's Haven to Musselwick Sands, then head a short distance inland to overnight in Marloes.

Puffin on Walking holiday on Pembrokeshire Coast Path Optional Day: visiting Skomer and Skokholm Islands
Take an extra day to visit the islands of Skomer and Skokholm. Skomer is a national nature reserve and a marine nature reserve providing sanctuary for razorbills, guillemots, kittiwakes, storm petrels, fulmars, shags, cormorants, puffins, manx shearwaters, peregrine falcons and short-eared owls. Skokholm also provides a breeding ground for Manx shearwaters.
Day 4: Marloes to Newgale                    16 miles
From Musselwick Sands you walk around The Nab Head to St Brides Haven, a picturesque inlet with a 12th century church. Then the Pembrokeshire Coast Path follows along the clifftops to Little Haven. From Little Haven you walk along a beautiful stretch of the coast path through Broad Haven, Druidston Haven, Nolton Haven and finally the 2 miles of Newgale Sands.

St David's Cathedral on Walking holiday on Pembrokeshire Coast Path Day 5: Newgale to Caerfai Bay, staying St Davids            10 miles   
Today you are commencing on the St David's Peninsula via the very pretty harbour and village at Solva. At Caerfai Bay you head a short distance inland to overnight in St David's, the smallest city in Britain. The 11th century cathedral and 14th century Bishops Palace are well worth a visit.
Optional Day: visiting Ramsey Island stay St Davids     
Take an extra day to visit the island of Ramsey, an RSPB nature reserve. It is a vital breeding ground for seals, and thousands of seabirds nest on the cliffs, including puffins and Manx shearwaters.

St Justinians on Walking holiday on Pembrokeshire Coast Path Day 6: Caerfai Bay to Whitesands Bay, staying St Davids      11.5 miles  
On today's walk on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path you visit St Non's Bay and St Non's Chapel. As you walk around the end of St David's Peninsula you have great views of Ramsey Island and possibly even seals on the shoreline and schools of dolphins and porpoises in Ramsey Sound. You walk past the lifeboat station at St Justinian's and when you get to Whitesands Bay you head back inland to St David's for another night.
Day 7: Depart after breakfast
or spend some time exploring the area or continue with the next section from St Davids to Cardigan. We can assist with transfers to car or station.

Rest days can also be taken in any location.

This walking holiday in the UK operates March to October and in either direction.
Short walking breaks are also available, with 2 or 3 days walking. Just select the part of the path you want to walk.
These distances are only a suggestion. If you would like to walk longer or shorter distances, we can arrange that too.
